Rope net fence is the structural sibling of decorative cable mesh: same hand-assembled stainless construction, but specified for guarding, partitioning and fall protection. Anping Yuhan maintains forty-nine active rope net fence specifications, most in AISI 304 or 316, with aperture sizes from 30mm to 30cm and wire diameters from 1.5mm to 2.0mm and above.
| Product | Aperture | Wire | Application |
|---|---|---|---|
| AISI 316 rope net fence | 30 x 30 cm | 2.0mm | Staircase guarding, atrium voids |
| Flexible metal mesh panel | 40 - 60 mm | 2.0mm | 316 roof and terrace barriers |
| Anti-drop 304 rope mesh | 30 x 30 mm | 1.5 - 2.0mm | Fall protection, maintenance access |
| Silver 1.5mm rope mesh | 45 x 45 mm | 1.5mm | Light-duty screening and fencing |
| High strength steel mesh panels | 30 x 30 cm | 1.5m panel height | Industrial enclosures |
Fence duty differs from infill duty. A rope net used as a free-standing fence carries wind load across a wide area, so post spacing and net tension become the governing factors rather than aperture alone. For spans above six metres, the recommendation is a 2.0mm or heavier cable with intermediate supports at four to five metre centres. Where the fence must also stop small objects falling, aperture is reduced to 30mm or 40mm at the cost of slightly higher wind resistance.
AISI 304 is adequate for inland industrial sites and dry interiors. AISI 316 is specified where chlorides are present: coastal plants, water treatment areas, food processing and swimming facilities. Black oxide finish reduces visual impact on heritage and residential projects, while PVC coating adds a barrier against abrasion and offers colour coding for safety zones.
Rope net fence panels ship with edge cable, tensioning hardware and stainless cross clamps, packed per structure to simplify site allocation. Anping Yuhan supplies mill certificates, CE declarations for construction applications, and packing lists by structure. Forty-nine specifications plus custom panel sizes are quoted within one working day through stainlesssteel-ropemesh.com.
Stainless rope net fence needs very little attention, but not zero. An annual wash with fresh water removes airborne chloride and dust from the cable surface, and turnbuckles should be checked for tension loss after the first winter cycle. Both tasks take a maintenance team less than an hour per hundred metres, far below the repainting cycle of painted steel fencing.
